Just played the demo, which I assume comprises of the first few minutes of the game proper.

No. Not at all. Not in the slightest. Aaaaargh! Look at the tags FFS!
I can detect the genuine lack of interest, but for what it's worth - and from what I played of the demo - it's like an open world hack n' slash game with shades of RTS and god knows what else. It's a Tim Schaefer game. So who knows what will happen.
The MP stuff definitely has shades of Giants about it though...

Now ypu just through that Giants comment in becasue you know I'd bite. Explain your reasoning behind that statement.
Well the MP looks like it has RTS elements. There are different factions in the game based around each sub-genre of Metal. Goths, Headbangers and err... another one.
You have to amass legions of metal fans as followers to power a gig happening at each end of the map.

As I said. Strong focus on RTS. Shaefer confirmed it himself when he said the SP is like a tutorial for the MP game, which is the focus. Hence my comparisons to Giants.
Don;t know why I'm bothering, this game is far too interesting, original and imaginative to appeal to any of you guys, even after some pretty good scores (http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbox360/brutallegend)
Work sorted me out Guitar Hero: Metallica for a leaving present though, Uncharted 2 is arriving on Friday and Dragon Age is only about 3 weeks away. They loaded the rest of my collection onto a GAME card though that's burning a hole in my pocket (if only to find out how much is on there). If end up by a GAME store to investigate at any point this weekend, then I will be buying Brutal Legend.
Might as well pile 'em up for the Xmas break. Bioshock & Splinter Cell are out in Feb!
