Demos of both Conan (the hacky slashy one) and The (actually quite cool looking) Simpsons Game are now available on Xbox Live Marketplace, both weighing in at about half a GB each. As if you could possibly distracted from Halo 3 right now...

Last night I did. It handles like a cross between NG and GoW, which is quite encouraging. The combos weren't terribly obvious, like they are in GoW and there are many more of them - like NG. You get to roll around the floor a lot like in GoW.

The combo thing was pulling me in a bit, as in, there's probably a fair amount of depth there. And I'm quite intrigued by the number of ways in which you can dismember the opposition.

It looks very nice, but I'm increasingly taking this for granted nowadays. It's all very well realised though and definitely feels like it's own thing.

Aging gamer trivia: It's by Nihilistic. Who did the first 'Vampire - The Masquerade' game.

Like the Simpsons - which I also tried last night - looks like a lot of fun, but probably won't get anywhere near it until it's re-released on budget.

So many games. So little time... :(

IMHO it's as close to an interactive version of the show as there's ever been.
