Good Old Games, now in open beta, aims to bring you the cream of PC Gamings back catalogue tweaked for Vista and XP. Among the titles for DRM free download are Fallouts 1 and 2, Sacrifice, the superb Freespace series and all time classic, Giants: Citizens Kabuto.

Honestly, if these guys get Crimson Skies, Left 4 Dead won't get a look in.
Looked at this over the weekend - the games aren't themselves free though, are they? $5 a go?
Thats less than £3 a pop and worth it for some of those game imho, espcially if its optimized so it will actually work on Vista.

Sounds like an ace idea, but sadly I don't have time to play all the games coming out let alone replay old ones... :S
You could try Classic Gaming. I've had the original Settlers game from this site.
They also have original UFO which is very tempting.
