Just how many years has it taken for that game to be approaching a release date?
The original TF2 was discussed maybe 7 years ago? 8?
This reimagining looks infinitely more fun, given that there are a lot of (potentially better) military shooters available (BF2 does the commander and squad stuff perfectly).

Excatly. This version of TF2 looks oodles more fun and saves them having to directly compete against the specialists of BF and ET:QW when thats released.
