That price drop is a clear admission of shoddy workmanship and iminent obsolescence if ever I saw one.

Or a cunning ploy to have the lowest price of admission for the imminent GTAIV.

Speaking of which, there's a MASSIVE 16 page cover feature in Edge chronicaling the rise and RISE of the GTA phenomenon, which was such a good read I found myself re-installing San Andreas on the PC last night.

And the words they had to say about IV at the end had me almost dribbling on the way home last night. The Boss of Rockstar was saying something like...

"I went to Edinburgh for 5 weeks to work on the game, and when I came back to NYC and went over the Bridge, it was like I'd never left".

I'll keep saying it. Those people who aren't willing to look beyond the negative press are surely gonna be missing out.

65 million copies of GTA sold. Quite polarising when you think about how massive the WoW subscription base seems...

Nothing hopeless about my case. I just set my gaming morals a bit higher than the gutter.

Lol @ gaming morals.

How many people have you killed this week?

Oh loads, but they were all heavily armed and trying to kill me at the time, as opposed to unarmed and minding their own business.

Mate its a pikey scumbag chav simulator for those people that would get a huge hard on if given an asbo. Just deal with it.

No it's not. It's an epic sweeping crime opera, with a million multi-faceted things to do. The last game took in an entire STATE for flips sake!

The fact that you CAN run people over and beat them to death on the pavement doesn't mean you HAVE to run people over and beat them to death on the pavement. The fact that you CAN however, makes it all the more affecting when things to kick off. Maybe this is your problem, the lure of a living breathing city full of innocent people minding their own business would make you want to do evil things with an RPG Launcher.

Not me. I'm too busy chasing after drug dealers or waging mercenary justice wars or taking on missions for the CIA or rescuing (admiteddly ropey-looking) damsels in distress or getting blackmailed by corrupt cops or - as I was last night - fleeing a car full of gun men on nothing more than a sodding push-bike. Diverse. Episodic. Massive. Supremely accessable. That is GTA. The next one will be game of the year for millions and millions of gamers and non-gamers alike.

Most of which bought the game so they could run over innocent people and beat them to death on the pavement -

Of course pikey chav scum will vote it game of the year. They don't know any better.

I wouldn't suppose Pikey chav scum are even aware of the concept of game of the year
