We've managed to get our hands on what exactly we can expect from the EU PSN Store this month. After this week's huge update, we had high hopes that this month would continue offering us some excellent content. Those hopes seem to be well founded. Check out the list of releases for the upcoming weeks. While not exhaustive, this list focuses on major, highly-anticipated playable content.
- Heavenly Sword demo
- Crash Bandicoot 2 PS1 game for PS3/PSP
- Spyro 2 PS1 game for PS3/PSP
- WipEout 2097 PS1 game for PS3/PSP
- MediEvil PS1 game for PS3/PSP
We've also heard mention of the
Blast Factor expansion,
Snakeball and
Feel Ski but aren't certain whether these will be coming our way in July. If not, then we'll probably see them in August. Also on the horizon is news about
Warhawk and the
Motorstorm Coyote Weekend VIP Pass update. Oh, and in the run up to the
Heavenly Sword release in September we'll be seeing five "Animated History" videos which give the game some backstory, along with some more making-of content appearing on the Store too. No doubt each week will be peppered with the normal trailers as well.

Heavenly Sword demo? *drool*
At least I have R6:Vegas at home and an unopened copy of Ninja Gaiden Sigma. In case you care, I only play a game after I've beaten the previous one..and I'm *still* playing Oblivion.

Is this site sponsored by Sony? Guys, I know you have to play the game with paymasters but can we agree that Playstation One games are NOT 'highly anticipated'?
The Heavenly Sword demo - Why couldn't we have this at the same time as E3? I agree though that this is something to get excited about!!!

i dont understand the logic behind the current crop of ps1 releases.
i dont wont to sit in front of my ps3 and get stuck into 15 hour platform games with atrocious gfx!
give us party and multiplayer games where the gfx dont matter, please!
crash bash
bishi bashi
parappa the rapper
bomberman
crash team racing
smash court tennis
i'm sure there's more....just cant recall.

My biggest complaint, other than a lack of games, is the emptiness of the N America PSN. Where is our Heavenly Sword demo? The E3 trailers Sony put up were nice, but why no demos? MS has dropped 5 demos on XBLMarketplace since Wed, but Sony has not put up squat. I'm happy to be a PS3 owner, but my 360 gets better downloads. The PSN Store is one area that Sony needs to focus on ASAP, because MS has them beat cold. The PSN Store continues to dissapoint me when compared to XBLive's offerings.

I'm sooo happy about the Heavenly Sword. I'm so happy I wanna run around in a ninja outfit and kick little kids in the throat. Then I'll break dance on broken glass just to show how crazy....uh I mean happy I am.

I hope the Heavenly Sword demo comes to the American store along with Crash Bandicoot 2. Crash Bandicoot 2 was one of my favorite PS1 games (I lost disc so I cant play it now).
